As a football analyst for Pro Football Focus, Trevor Sikkema has identified the Carolina Panthers’ big three for the upcoming season. The trio includes Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, and Jadeveon Clowney.

Brown is an obvious choice for Sikkema due to his impressive performance on the field. In 2023, he set the NFL’s single-season record for most tackles by a lineman and earned a career-high 90.9 overall defensive grade. Despite being injured often, Horn has proven to be an effective cornerback with an 84.1 overall mark in 2023. Clowney, a free-agent signing, had the third-highest season grade of his career last year at 85.7.

Sikkema also mentioned that although guard Robert Hunt is new to the team and getting older, he is still considered one of the Panthers’ top players. Notably, no full-time Panthers offensive player earned a season grade above 78.0 in 2023.
