Tinder, the hugely popular dating app, is set to launch a new feature called “Share My Date” that allows users to share their date details with friends and family. This feature has been created in response to the growing trend of young people under 30 sharing aspects of their dates with their friends. In fact, an internal survey revealed that an astonishing 18% of users even share their date information with their mothers.

Melissa Hobley, Tinder’s Chief Marketing Officer, stressed that “Share My Date” was designed to enhance the dating experience by making it more enjoyable, safe and respectful for all users. This feature streamlines the process of sharing date plans, allowing users to focus on the fun aspects of getting ready for a date, like choosing an outfit and preparing conversation topics.

With “Share My Date,” users can easily share details such as location, date, time and a photo of their date through a simple link. Users have control over who they share this information with and can schedule an unlimited number of dates up to 30 days in advance. Additionally, users can update details if there are any last-minute changes. The feature will be rolled out in various countries including the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Singapore and India among others in the coming months.
