The Nassau County stadium, which hosted the India vs Pakistan match on June 9, is set to be demolished following the conclusion of the T20 World Cup in New York. Built in under 100 days, the stadium has faced criticism for its drop-in pitches that have been unpredictable in nature.

According to a report in the New York Times, the stadium will be dismantled after the last match on June 12. The parts will be shipped back to Las Vegas and Eisenhower Park will return to its normal state, with a world-class cricket pitch remaining.

With a capacity of 34,000, the stadium witnessed a packed crowd during the India vs Pakistan match, with some tickets being sold at extremely high prices. India played four matches at the venue, including a warm-up game against Bangladesh.

The drop-in pitches at the stadium hosted eight matches, resulting in unpredictable and occasionally dangerous bounce. The ICC acknowledged that the pitches have not played consistently, leading to low scores in some matches.

The highest successful chase at the venue was only 111 runs by India in their match against USA. Canada scored the highest total of 137/7 against Ireland, while India defended a low total of 119 against Pakistan. Despite this, fans appreciated watching international cricket at such an intimate setting.
