The JACKALOPE festival kicked off in Virginia Beach this weekend, drawing a crowd of sports enthusiasts from all over the world. From May 31 through June 2 near Neptune’s Park, participants were able to enjoy a variety of exciting activities such as vert scene, street skateboarding, bouldering, freestyle motocross, BMX, BASE jumping and skimboarding.
Micah Desforges, Founding President of TRIBU and producer of the JACKALOPE series, highlighted the enthusiasm of the Virginia Beach community and encouraged participants to push their performances to the limit. Last year’s event was historic in Virginia Beach and led to the creation of an original North American series that continues to attract top athletes from around the world.
The festival brought together over 500 athletes who competed in seven different sports including international-level competitions featuring athletes from eight countries.
