Nate Thrasher, a prominent rider in the Pro Motocross series, will miss several races as he undergoes surgery to repair a broken collarbone and bent corrective plate. The injury occurred during a practice crash before Round 2 in Rancho Cordova, California last week. Despite the setback, Thrasher managed to finish 11th overall with results of 10th in Moto 1 and 14th in Moto 2.

In an Instagram post, Thrasher expressed his disappointment at the situation but promised a quick recovery after the surgery. This is not the first time Thrasher has suffered a collarbone injury; he also broke it in April 2023 during a Monster Energy Supercross race in Atlanta. Both Thrasher and fellow rider Ryder DiFrancesco are expected to return to action in six weeks at Seattle when the 250 East series resumes.

Thrasher had also crashed during a heat race in Supercross Round 6 at Glendale earlier this year, but he was able to continue racing without missing any additional events. Currently, Thrasher is 10th in the combined SuperMotocross World Championship standings with one win this season. This victory in San Diego in Round 3 of Supercross automatically qualifies him for at least the Last Chance Qualification races in the playoffs should he drop out of the top 30. Despite the setbacks, Thrasher remains optimistic about his return to racing and continues to receive support from his fans and followers.
