The streets of Paris will be filled with thousands of people on Wednesday as they gather for Labor Day, a call to action by the inter-union in France. The demonstration takes place in the midst of ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and Palestine, as stated in a press release. The focus is on unity among trade union and youth organizations for a just and lasting peace.

In Paris, the gathering will begin at 1:30 p.m. at Place de la République, with an estimated departure time of 2 p.m. The route will lead the demonstrators towards Place de la Nation via Boulevard Voltaire. A traffic system will be put in place around the demonstration area to ensure safety. Motorists are advised to avoid the area from 10 a.m. onwards.

Security measures are being taken, but details have not been disclosed yet by authorities who expect between 15,000 and 30,000 attendees in Paris, with the possibility of a few hundred radical demonstrators present during this event which last year resulted in injuries and hospitalizations among security forces and demonstrators due to social unrest over pension reforms .
