The Yankees are set to add left-hander Anthony Misiewicz to their roster ahead of Tuesday’s game against the Baltimore Orioles, according to multiple reports. This will be Misiewicz’s second stint with the team, having played in three games last season before a serious injury sidelined him for the rest of the year.

During a game against the Pittsburgh Pirates, Misiewicz was hit in the head with a 100-mph line drive, which caused a setback. However, he has since returned to the field this season and has performed impressively for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. In 23 appearances, he has maintained a 3.23 ERA and 1.14 WHIP, along with 37 strikeouts.

One key improvement has been his increased use of the cutter pitch, leading to more strikeouts and fewer walks compared to earlier in his career. With his recent success in the minors and improved performance on the mound, the Yankees are hoping Misiewicz can make a positive impact during his call-up against the Orioles.
