The XC World Cup has returned to Val di Sole, bringing along an exciting lineup of racing events for the weekend. In the U23 competition, Isabella Holmgren and Kira Böhm faced off in a thrilling race to the finish line. While Holmgren led early on, Böhm managed to snatch the victory by just one second at the end. Emilly Johnston finished a close third place in the race against Olivia Onesti.

Meanwhile, in the elite men’s event, Victor Koretzky emerged victorious in a close race that saw him separate from the top four riders by just one second. Jens Schuermans finished in third place, while Nino Schurter secured a front-row start for Sunday’s main event.

With both XC and downhill events taking place over the weekend, riders were given a much-needed rest day on Saturday to recover from the XCC race before they went head-to-head in their respective races on Sunday.
