An architecture firm, Clouds Architecture Office, has envisioned a skyscraper hanging upside-down from an asteroid to hover over New York City. This innovative design project, known as Analemma Tower, is the world’s tallest building ever, offering extreme height, seclusion and constant mobility. The firm believes that the tower will command record prices due to its unique design.
The plans for Analemma Tower involve residents accessing the building through drones after moving between space and New York City using an electromagnetic elevator. However, despite being online since 2017, there has been little progress made in bringing the project closer to reality. The original proposal was for the tower to be built over Dubai, where there is expertise in tall building construction at a lower cost compared to New York City.
While the concept of a building hanging over Manhattan may seem far-fetched, it holds market value as unrealistic real estate projects have sold for millions of dollars in the past with promises of completion many years in the future. The potential for innovative and ambitious design ideas in architecture is demonstrated by this visionary project.
