Larry Allen, a legendary offensive lineman in the NFL and member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, passed away at the age of 52 while on vacation with his family in Mexico. Known for his exceptional athleticism and strength, Allen was highly respected throughout the league for his versatility and dependability.

When Allen was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys from Sonoma State in 1994, he quickly made a name for himself in the NFL. Starting 10 games as a rookie, he went on to become a first-team All-Pro for seven consecutive seasons. He was famous for his incredible strength, both on the field where he dominated defensive linemen and in the weight room where he bench-pressed 700 pounds. In fact, he even won the NFL’s Strongest Man event at the 2007 Pro Bowl.

Despite his size, Allen was surprisingly quick, as showcased during Monday Night Football where he made a crucial tackle on an interception return. He played for the Cowboys from 1994 to 2005 and finished his career with the San Francisco 49ers in 2006 and 2007. Throughout his career, Allen received numerous accolades including being named to the 1990s All-Decade Team, the 2000s All-Decade Team, and the NFL’s 100th Anniversary All-Time Team.

Allen was deeply loved by his family including his wife Janelle and their children Jayla, Loriana, and Larry III. His passing has left many players and fans alike mourning
