Jon Rahm, the golfer, has withdrawn from the LIV Golf event at Golf Club of Houston due to an ailment. The ailment was described as a left-foot infection that caused him to exit the tournament after being even par through six holes. Despite having all pars and being 3 under for the tournament, he had to leave the event.

During the event, LIV announcers noticed Rahm in noticeable pain after hitting his tee shot on the seventh hole. They mentioned that Rahm had a cut on his foot and was receiving treatment before teeing off. Rahm, who was born with a clubfoot on his right leg, has not disclosed the severity of the infection or if it will affect his participation in the upcoming U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. 2.

Rahm’s current injury adds uncertainty to his prospects for the U.S. Open, which is scheduled to take place next month. Last year, he had a successful season in major championships, finishing in the top 10 multiple times, including a win at the Masters. However, this year after moving to LIV, he has not had the same level of success. He finished T-45 at Augusta National and missed the cut at the PGA Championship at Valhalla.

The move from PGA Tour to LIV Golf has been challenging for Rahm as he adjusts to playing against different players and new rules. Despite these challenges, he remains determined to continue competing at a high level and hopes to recover from his injury soon.

In conclusion, Jon Rahm’s withdrawal from the LIV Golf event due to an ailment has added uncertainty to his prospects for future tournaments and particularly for the upcoming U.S. Open at Pinehurst No
