The Steelers have recently added free agent receiver Jacob Copeland to their roster, signing him to a one-year contract. Originally, Copeland signed with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent after the 2023 draft. However, Tennessee released him and he later joined the Vikings during training camp. Unfortunately, Copeland was waived by Minnesota during the preseason.

After his release from the Vikings, Copeland joined the Chiefs during the offseason before ultimately signing with the Steelers. During his time at the University of Maryland in 2022, Copeland recorded 26 receptions for 376 yards and two touchdowns. Prior to that, he spent four seasons at the University of Florida where he amassed 86 receptions for 1,366 yards and nine touchdowns.

The Steelers are hoping that Copeland can make an impact with the team during the upcoming season with his skillset and experience. With his past experience on the Steelers’ practice squad in 2023 and his solid college performance, he could be a valuable asset to the team as they look to improve their receiving corps in 2024.
