Two fans were kicked out of the College World Series game between Texas A&M and Florida on Saturday night for allegedly harassing Gators coach Kevin O’Sullivan during a match. The two men, both wearing Texas A&M shirts, were accused of hurling insults at Florida’s dugout in relation to the tragic deaths of Rex Reinhart, 14 and Brody Reinhart, 11.

The Omaha Police Officers Association (OPOA) issued a statement condemning the behavior on Sunday, stating that it was unacceptable. The association praised the officers and security personnel at the event for removing the duo from Charles Schwab Field and called for them to be banned from future College World Series events.

The Gainesville Sun reported that Rex and Brody Reinhart were killed three years ago by their father Paul Otto Reinhart who then took his own life. Kevin O’Sullivan is now married to Minde O’Sullivan, mother of the deceased boys.

Texas A&M’s head coach Jim Schlossnagle issued an apology following the incident during his post-game press conference saying whoever was responsible for the heckling did not represent what Texas A&M stands for and should not be allowed back into the ballpark. The incident sparked outrage and discussions on social media about appropriate behavior at sporting events.
