When he finally arrived on stage at nearly 6 p.m., the crowd greeted him with boos. The Rock addressed the crowd’s reaction by questioning if they were booing because he was late. He then took a jab at Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, mentioning his playoff losses and suggesting that fans should be grateful for The Rock’s presence. Despite the Eagles recent struggles, they remain beloved in Philadelphia and criticizing them on stage in front of a Philly crowd is likely to receive a chilly response. However, this may be exactly what The Rock wants as he embraces being a heel in the wrestling world.
