During Organized Team Activities, New England Patriots rookie quarterback Drake Maye has caught the eye of his veteran teammate, Jabrill Peppers. Peppers, a safety for the team, has been impressed by Maye’s skills on the field, noting that he can see why Maye was a top prospect in the 2024 NFL draft. According to Peppers, Maye’s arm talent is evident in his throws, with some leaving his teammates in awe.

Although Maye has yet to secure the starting quarterback position for the Patriots, he is making strides in his development. Currently, Jacoby Brissett is getting the majority of snaps with the first-string offense. The Patriots view Maye as a long-term project and are not rushing him into a starting role as a rookie. However, Maye’s talent and potential are becoming increasingly noticeable during practice sessions, indicating that he has the ability to succeed at the professional level.

Maye’s progress has not gone unnoticed by Peppers. The safety believes that Maye has what it takes to be successful at the next level and is impressed by his work ethic and dedication to improving his game. Peppers says that he sees potential in Maye’s arm strength and accuracy and believes that with time and experience, he could become one of the best quarterbacks in the league.

The Patriots are confident that they have made a wise investment in their rookie quarterback. They believe that with proper guidance and support from experienced players like Peppers, Maye can reach his full potential on the field. Despite facing tough competition from other talented young quarterbacks in the league, they are optimistic about what they see from him so far
