Valencia’s 23-year-old goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili has been one of the standout players at Euro 2024, helping his team secure a spot in the last 16. With Spain next on their schedule, Mamardashvili’s exceptional form has put him on the radar of other teams.

Valencia is proud of Mamardashvili’s success but also wary of potential interest from other teams. The club is willing to sell him this summer for a reported asking price of over €40m, which they consider “unrejectable.” Newcastle United had previously shown interest in Mamardashvili before Euro 2024 and there is speculation that they may make a move following his impressive performances in the tournament.

Despite the possibility of Mamardashvili leaving, Valencia has already signed Stole Dimitrievski from Rayo Vallecano as a potential replacement. However, the club is not under any pressure to lower their asking price and it could even increase in the coming weeks. For now, Valencia is holding firm at €40m as they consider their options for the future.
