Paintcam Eve is an innovative home security system that uses artificial intelligence to mark intruders with paintballs. This cutting-edge technology incorporates intelligent object tracking and facial recognition to detect threats and take action when necessary. When an intruder is detected, the system fires paintballs to mark the individual for easier identification, and also has the option to use tear gas as a deterrent.

The Paintcam Eve system ranges in cost from $1,200 to $2,000, depending on the model chosen. More advanced versions include features such as human and animal face detection to prevent accidental shots of pets. The paintball marking system is designed to aid law enforcement in identifying intruders, although its legality in the US is uncertain due to concerns that it could be classified as a “homemade trap,” which is illegal under US law.

In addition to its paintball marking capabilities, the Paintcam Eve also functions as a security camera that records video footage and allows for home monitoring through a dedicated app. Users have the ability to define protection zones and in the event of an Internet connection failure, the camera can operate autonomously to maintain security.
