The 2021 MLB season is coming to an end, and five teams still haven’t won a World Series: the Colorado Rockies, Milwaukee Brewers, San Diego Padres, Seattle Mariners, and Tampa Bay Rays. Let’s take a closer look at each team and their history with the Commissioner’s Trophy.

The Colorado Rockies joined the league in 1995 and have only made one World Series appearance in 2007. They lost to the Boston Red Sox in four games. Despite their lack of success on the field, they have been known for their innovative approach to baseball. The Rockies were the first team to play in Denver at high altitude, and they have had some of the most impressive home-field advantages in recent years.

The Milwaukee Brewers are another team that has yet to win a World Series. Founded in 1970, they have only appeared in one World Series game (1982) where they lost to the St. Louis Cardinals in seven games. In recent years, they’ve had some close calls – making it to the NLCS in 2018 but losing to the Los Angeles Dodgers in five games. Despite their struggles on the field, they have a dedicated fan base that continues to hope for a championship someday.

The San Diego Padres are another team that has played well but never quite managed to make it all the way to the top of baseball’s pyramid. Established in 1969, they’ve had two appearances in the World Series – losing to Detroit Tigers in 1984 and being swept by New York Yankees
