The “Gen Z” generation, which includes individuals born between 1997 and 2012, is often criticized for being lazy, entitled, and demanding. While accusations of laziness and entitlement are often directed at Gen Z, data shows that satisfaction with work tends to increase with age. This suggests that issues of dissatisfaction are not unique to a particular generation.

To increase work incentives and promote a culture of productivity and collaboration across generations, it is crucial to create an environment where work is rewarding and enjoyable for all individuals. This can be achieved through policies such as flexible scheduling or job training programs that provide individuals with the skills they need to succeed in their careers. Ultimately, by addressing the broader framework conditions of the labor market rather than blaming a specific generation, we can create a more productive and collaborative society for all.
