As the offseason countdown to the 2024 regular season continues, the Arizona Cardinals are now only 74 days away from their opening game against the Buffalo Bills on September 8. The current jersey No. 74 is being worn by rookie third-round pick Isaiah Adams, who played guard and tackle at Illinois. Fans are hopeful that he can secure the starting left guard position, although veteran Evan Brown is currently leading the race for the spot.

The No. 74 jersey was previously worn by tackle D.J. Humphries, who was released in the offseason after suffering a torn ACL that was likely to keep him out for the season. Humphries had been a starter for eight seasons, drafted in the first round in 2015. He initially served as the starting right tackle before switching to the left side due to an injury to Jared Veldheer. Humphries went on to become the starting left tackle and was named to the Pro Bowl once during his career.

Despite being a solid performer, injuries plagued Humphries throughout his career, causing him to miss a significant number of games between 2016-2018. However, he showed resilience by missing only one game due to COVID-19 from 2019-2021. Many consider Humphries to be one of the best No. 74 players in Cardinals history.
