In the rapidly evolving technological landscape, professionals with a deep understanding of both humanities and technology are increasingly in demand. To meet this need, students from the Faculty of Philosophy and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in Zagreb have been invited to enroll in the second cohort of “future studies”. This innovative study program combines social-humanistic and technical knowledge to educate students as experts in understanding the intricate relationship between man and machine.
The Bachelor’s degree program in Applied Cognitive Sciences, jointly conducted by the two faculties, requires 180 ECTS credits, a transcript of grades, a motivation letter, a recommendation from an undergraduate professor, and proof of English language skills. Interested students can apply for this unique study program that prepares them to navigate the complex interactions between humans and technology.
Professors Renata Geld and Dario Bojanjac from the faculties explained that the study focuses on human behavior, the impact of external circumstances on decisions, and the development of artificial intelligence (AI). The goal of the study is to create experts who can bridge the gap between science and industry, innovators who grasp interdisciplinary issues, particularly those related to the relationship between humans and technology.
Students who are passionate about exploring this fascinating field are encouraged to apply for this one-of-a-kind study program. Interviews with candidates and the announcement of results will take place in September.
