The Arizona Cardinals have completed their offseason program and are now on their first week of summer break as they prepare for the upcoming regular season. With 83 days left until they face the Buffalo Bills in Week 1, rookie receiver Tejhaun Palmer currently wears No. 83 on the team after being drafted in the sixth round this year. Palmer has yet to make an impact on the team and faces a tough challenge in making the roster.

Meanwhile, receiver Greg Dortch, who previously wore No. 83, has now switched to No. 4 after Rondale Moore was traded to the Atlanta Falcons this offseason. Dortch has played for the Cardinals for the past three seasons but has not put up big numbers, with his best season totalling 52 catches for 467 yards in 2022. However, when given the opportunity to play on offense, Dortch has shown that he can produce results.

Looking ahead, Dortch could potentially become the team’s starting slot receiver in 2024, which may lead to him having a more impactful role wearing No. 4 than he did at No. 83.
