The 2009 T20 World Cup match between South Africa and India in Nottingham was a thrilling contest, with the Proteas emerging victorious by just 12 runs. This was a rematch of their previous encounter, where India had won.

Despite both teams advancing to the second round without a loss, India suffered a setback when they lost three consecutive games, preventing them from reaching the Semi-Finals. South Africa’s AB de Villiers starred in their batting lineup, scoring an impressive 63 runs off just 51 balls.

India’s bowlers, including Zaheer Khan, RP Singh, Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh and Ravindra Jadeja each picked up a wicket in their defense of the target. However, South Africa’s bowling performance was strong enough to help them secure a narrow victory over India in this hard-fought match.
