The CW Network has announced the appointment of Jason Wormser as Senior Vice President of CW Sports. In his new role, Wormser will oversee all production aspects of The CW’s sports portfolio, including live events such as LIV Golf, ACC college football, men’s and women’s basketball, and the upcoming NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2025.

As a consultant to the network since the launch of CW Sports one year ago, Wormser has been an invaluable asset to The CW. Brad Schwartz, President of Entertainment at The CW Network, expressed excitement about bringing Wormser on full time. Schwartz cited his passion, experience, and dedication to ensuring a compelling broadcast.

Prior to joining The CW Network, Wormser served as Vice President of Production for Fox Soccer Channel and FS1. He supervised behind-the-scenes crews responsible for broadcasting major international soccer events such as the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2015 and the FIFA Men’s World Cup in 2018.

“I am grateful for this opportunity,” said Wormser. “In just one year—signing deals first with LIV Golf then adding ACC football and basketball, Inside the NFL and NASCAR Xfinity Series—we have set a solid foundation as we continue to grow The CW’s public awareness and provide value to our affiliates nationwide.”
