In America, only about 36% of hospitals are fully complying with the law that requires them to post their prices online. This lack of transparency has prompted Congress, employers, and unions to demand changes. The fight for transparent health care prices is the focus of today’s On Point program.

Joining the discussion are Cynthia Fisher, founder and chairman of PatientRightsAdvocate.org, Molly Smith, group vice president for public policy at the American Hospital Association, and Adam Beck, senior vice president for commercial employer and product policy at America’s Health Insurance Plans. Also featured are Kevin Lyons, director of member benefits for the New Jersey State Policemen’s Benevolent Association, Zachary Bessler, a software engineer, and Jeff Millhollin, president and CEO of Pacific Steel & Recycling.

The program is scheduled to air on February 13th 2024 with audio available after the broadcast.
