The NFL has announced that Pittsburgh will host the 2026 NFL draft, while Green Bay will be the host city for next year’s draft. Since its inception in 2015, the draft has been hosted in various cities including Dallas, Chicago, Nashville, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Las Vegas and Detroit. The event was previously held in New York City at Radio City Music Hall.

With the next two host cities selected, attention is now focused on the 2027 NFL draft. Washington D.C. has expressed interest in hosting the event with representatives and Commanders officials actively pursuing the opportunity. While there is high confidence that D.C. will be chosen to host the event, there is stiff competition from other cities with NFL franchises vying for this coveted opportunity.

The Commanders were one of 12 teams that conducted site surveys at the 2024 NFL draft in Detroit, indicating their strong interest in hosting the event. The Commanders are not alone as previous host cities have attested to its economic benefits making it a highly sought-after opportunity for Washington D.C and other interested parties.
