Over the past weekend, Texas Tech University secured another commitment from high school recruit Patrick McMath. McMath, an offensive lineman from Katy, Texas, visited the campus and ultimately decided to commit to the Red Raiders, choosing Texas Tech over several other offers.

Initially, Houston seemed to be a strong contender for McMath’s commitment, given his size and skill level. However, after experiencing Texas Tech firsthand during his official visit, McMath was impressed beyond measure. He cited the sense of family among the staff and players, as well as the top-notch facilities, as key factors in his decision.

Before the visit, McMath had not planned on committing to Texas Tech. However, after spending time on campus and interacting with the coaching staff and players, his outlook quickly changed. The welcoming atmosphere and emphasis on building strong relationships within the program played a significant role in his choice to commit to the Red Raiders.
