The Texas Longhorns finished at No. 6 in the 2024 recruiting team rankings, with one five-star and 16 four-stars. Now, they are focused on cracking into the top five recruiting rankings in the next season. The Longhorns have made a quick start in the 2025 class, currently ranked No. 12 with seven four-stars and three three-stars already committed.

On Tuesday, Texas secured their fourth three-star commitment from CB Caleb Chester, hailing from Missouri City, Texas. Chester chose Texas over offers from Arkansas, Florida State, Texas A&M, and others. The Longhorns’ coaching staff was confident in his commitment. While Texas has added defensive line pieces in the class, Chester will be the first addition to their secondary.

Standing at 6’2″ and weighing 175 pounds, Chester’s physical attributes make him an attractive prospect as a cornerback. The Texas coaching staff may focus on adding 15-20 pounds of muscle to his frame before he joins the team.
