As the Texans prepare for the OTA phase of their offseason schedule, they are facing the absence of several key offensive starters. Left tackle Laremy Tunsil and wide receiver Stefon Diggs were not present for the second day of OTAs on Tuesday. Additionally, left guard Tytus Howard, right guard Shaq Mason, and edge rusher Danielle Hunter were also missing from practice.

Despite their current absence, some of the players have participated in other voluntary workouts earlier in the spring. It is noted that Tunsil often chooses to work out on his own during the offseason, while Howard is recovering from a leg injury that prematurely ended his 2023 season.

The Texans will have their only mandatory work of the offseason during a minicamp scheduled for June 11-13. Any absences during this mandatory period will be more significant and noteworthy, highlighting the importance of team participation during crucial times of preparation for the upcoming season.
