On Monday, the schedule for the first two days of the College World Series was released, with the Tennessee Volunteers set to face off against Florida State Seminoles. The Volunteers, who are the top seed and looking to win their first national title in program history, will compete in a best-of-three Men’s College World Series Finals.

The teams are split into two double-elimination brackets, with Tennessee, Florida State, North Carolina, and Virginia on one side. The first game between Tennessee and Florida State will take place on Friday at 7 p.m., followed by the North Carolina vs. Virginia game at 4 p.m., both times in Eastern Time. These games will be broadcast live on ESPN.

The winners of each bracket will advance to a best-of-three Men’s College World Series Finals, with the first game scheduled for Saturday at 7:30 p.m., on ABC. If necessary, a decisive third game will be played on Sunday at 2 p.m., also on ABC.

Tennessee earned their spot in the College World Series by defeating Evansville in the Knoxville Super Regional under Head Coach Tony Vitello’s leadership. The team finished second in the SEC regular season and won the SEC Tournament championship before this year’s tournament began. Their best finish in previous years was as national runners-up in 1951 when they fell short of winning their first national title but came close to achieving it this year when they reached this stage once again where they hope to finally achieve that goal
