A teenager in St. Louis has been charged with multiple counts of stealing, burglary, and property damage for a series of burglaries that took place primarily in April in both the city and county. Mekel Walker, 18, is accused of committing burglaries on April 27, April 28, and June 11 in both St. Louis City and St. Louis County.

According to court documents obtained by FOX 2, Walker is alleged to have committed these burglaries while armed with firearms and with the help of others. The group stole $750 in cash or merchandise from at least five businesses, mostly on Delmar Boulevard. Surveillance cameras captured all the incidents, with doors being pried open with crowbars and windows shattered for entry in multiple cases.

On June 11, Walker and others broke windows at two more businesses in the City of St. Louis and made off with over $750 in cash or merchandise from both locations. A warrant has been requested for Walker’s arrest, and upon arrest, a judge has ordered no bond. As of now, it is unclear whether Walker is currently in custody or not.

So far, prosecutors have not brought charges against Walker in St. Louis County or anyone else involved in the burglary spree. Missouri court records have not shown any additional suspects or charges related to the string of burglary incidents.
