Agoria Flanders has received over 1,700 job vacancies from technology companies to help Van Hool employees who lost their jobs. These positions are being collected on a web platform with the support of trade unions as reported by Agoria Flanders.

As a sector federation, Agoria Vlaanderen aims to assist Van Hool employees in quickly finding opportunities at other technology companies in the region. General manager Jolyce Demely stated, “Our main goal is to help these employees find new employment as soon as possible.” To achieve this, they have compiled all current vacancies from technology employers in Antwerp, Flemish Brabant, and Limburg.

The available positions range from technical technicians to welders, engineers, and IT specialists with many companies actively seeking new workers. The joint trade union project Doorstart+ is also backing this initiative to provide Van Hool employees with new prospects after a difficult period of dismissal. Project manager Sarah Gorissen emphasized the importance of helping these employees find new opportunities and showcasing their value to other companies in the sector. With their experience, knowledge, skills, and loyalty, these workers can make significant contributions to their new employers.
