AUBURN — Paul Catalano singled with one out in the second inning Friday night.

That would end up being the Jamestown Tarp Skunks’ lone hit of the game.

A pair of Auburn Doubledays pitchers combined to strike out six, walk one and give up just Catalano’s single in a 7-0 Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League West Division shutout at Falcon Park.

Jack Conley threw six innings and gave up the one hit while striking out two for the Doubledays (3-1). Joseph Gleason threw the final three innings and struck out four while walking one and not allowing a hit.

Auburn scored four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning off Jamestown pitchers Will Saxenmeyer and Tony DeLawrence.

The Doubledays added a run in the fifth and two more in the sixth off DeLawrence.

Saxenmeyer took the loss for the Tarp Skunks (3-1). He allowed two runs and four hits while striking out one in 3 1/3 innings. DeLawrence threw 2 1/3 innings of three-hit ball, allowing five runs (four earned) and four walks. Evan Berta allowed one hit and a walk while striking out two in 1 1/3 innings before Luc Fuller threw the final inning and allowed one hit while striking out two.

Bobby Stang went 3 for 4 with a pair of doubles and two RBIs while Harrison Campi was 2 for 4 with a double and a run scored for Auburn. Hazel Martinez and Michael Whooley each added a double in the win.

Jamestown returns to action at 6:30 p.m. today against the Geneva Red Wings at Diethrick Park.
