High school sports enthusiasts in Section III can look forward to an exciting day of action as the schedule for today has been released on Syracuse.com. From boys basketball to ice hockey and volleyball, there will be plenty of games to keep fans entertained throughout the day.

In basketball, teams such as Indian River, Carthage, Otselic Valley, and Lyme will have pre-game events before starting their games. Meanwhile, Jamesville-DeWitt and Cicero-North Syracuse will see their game get underway at 6:30 p.m., with a few games starting at 7 p.m., including Fulton at East Syracuse Minoa and Utica Proctor at New Hartford.

Ice hockey fans can also look forward to some exciting playoffs action as Baldwinsville takes on Fayetteville-Manlius for the Division I qualifier and Cortland/Homer faces Auburn for the Division II qualifier. There will also be a boys diving event at Nottingham at 2:30 p.m.

Volleyball enthusiasts can catch some great games today as well, with Little Falls, Cincinnatus, Westmoreland, Herkimer, and Central Valley Academy among the schools participating in both boys and girls volleyball matches. On the girls’ side of things, Fulton and East Syracuse Minoa, Christian Brothers Academy, and Westhill will all be playing pre-game evening matches. Additionally, the girls’ volleyball section III semifinals for Class A, B, and C will happen at various start times during the evening.
