The Bryan Aquatic Center is hosting an event that could potentially break the record for the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson. In partnership with the World Waterpark Association, people from six continents will be participating in swimming lessons in an attempt to set a Guinness World Record.

Hayden Johnson, the Aquatics Coordinator for the City of Bryan, shared more details about the event on First News at Four. Participants will sign in to help keep track of the record numbers. The lesson will last 30 minutes, and everyone who participates will have access to the Aquatics Center for recreational swim hours.

To ensure everyone knows what to expect, Johnson recommends arriving at least 30 minutes before the lesson begins at 1 p.m. Join in on the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson at the Bryan Aquatic Center on Thursday, June 20. Copyright 2024 KBTX. All rights reserved.
