Theresa and Alicia Baroun, a mother and daughter duo, have opened a new café called Maple Buzz Café in De Pere. The café is located at the former Zesty’s Frozen Custard spot at 3718 Riverside Dr. The duo also owns a maple syrup and honey business, which they decided to expand by opening a café to showcase their products.

Maple Buzz offers a variety of maple and honey products, including syrup, honey, and coffee, which are used in some of the café’s menu items. The menu features breakfast and lunch options such as sandwiches, wraps, salads, and soups, as well as coffee, juice, and ice cream. In the future, the owners plan to offer different coffee and smoothie specials.

To open the café, the owners had to repaint and redo the electrical work. They are currently looking to hire employees for year-round positions. Interested individuals can apply on their website. Maple Buzz Café is open from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, and from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturdays only.
