Wales national team head coach Rob Page has been dismissed by the Football Association of Wales (FAW) after four years at the helm. Despite leading the team to EURO 2020 and their first World Cup appearance since 1958, Page was let go.

FAW president Steve Williams expressed gratitude for Page’s efforts, acknowledging his role in guiding Wales to international tournaments. Williams also noted Page’s commitment to engaging with communities across Wales and his pride in announcing the World Cup squad in his hometown of Tylorstown.

With Wales set to return to international action in September with a Nations League match against Türkiye, the FAW is now searching for a new head coach. The organization will be looking for a candidate who can build upon the progress made under Page and lead the team to continued success on the international stage.
