The 2024 IIHF Men’s World Championship is set to have an unexpected Gold Medal Game matchup between host Czechia and Switzerland. The game will take place on Sunday, May 26 at Prague Arena in Prague, Czechia at 2 p.m. ET, and can be watched on the NHL Network or streamed on platforms like FuboTV, Sling, and DirecTV Stream.

Switzerland has surprised many by making it to the final game after beating Canada in a shootout in the semifinals. Led by goaltender Leonardo Genoni, they are looking to win their first gold since 2018. On the other hand, Czechia has not been in the final since their victory in 2010. They defeated Sweden in the semis to earn their spot in the championship game.

The Bronze Medal Game will feature Canada facing off against Sweden earlier in the day at 9 a.m. ET. Canada is aiming to win a medal for the fourth consecutive tournament, while Sweden is looking to secure their first medal since 2018. Both games promise to be exciting matchups between top teams competing for international hockey glory.
