May is Mental Health Awareness Month and as the school year comes to a close and summer break approaches, children and parents may experience a loss of structure which can lead to mental health issues, according to the Journal of the Canadian Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. To help families transition into the summer with the right support, a business in Seguin is hosting a free mental health fair. The event will take place at Pecantown Books and Brews on Saturday, May 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The mental health fair will feature counselors from Ray of Hope Associates Counseling Center who will provide strategies for managing stress and offering support for parents dealing with stressed-out children. Attendees can access mental health resources and gain valuable insights to help them thrive during the summer break.
