The 2024 NFL schedule is brimming with enthralling games that football enthusiasts won’t want to miss. USA TODAY Sports’ Mackenzie Salmon has highlighted some must-see matchups for the upcoming season.

One player creating a buzz in the NFL is quarterback Stetson Bennett, who recently rejoined the Los Angeles Rams after being away during the 2023 season. Bennett, who was drafted by the Rams in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL draft, was expected to serve as Matthew Stafford’s backup. However, he missed the season-opener and was placed on the non-football injury list for undisclosed reasons by head coach Sean McVay.

After being absent from the team for an entire year, Bennett is now back and competing for the second-string quarterback position. In a recent press conference, he discussed his absence but chose to keep the specifics private. When asked if his departure was related to mental health issues, Bennett confirmed that it fell under that category. Despite facing difficulties, Bennett expressed gratitude towards the team’s management for supporting his decision to step away. He admitted feeling nervous upon his return but has since settled in and rediscovered his passion for football. Bennett, who rose to fame as a college football star at Georgia, winning back-to-back national championships with the Bulldogs, is excited to be back on the field with the Rams and is eager to give his all every day.
