In a surprising move, veteran wide receiver Sterling Shepard has signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 31-year-old Shepard spent eight seasons with the Giants and will be reuniting with Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield, whom he played with at Oklahoma.

Last season, Shepard played in 15 games but his performance didn’t showcase much of his skills, as he only caught 10 passes for 57 yards. As he heads to Tampa Bay, he will have to compete for a spot on the roster. However, his existing connection with Mayfield may give him an edge and an opportunity to prove that he still has what it takes to contribute to the team.

According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, Shepard will be joining the Buccaneers today. It remains to be seen how he will fit into the team’s plans, but one thing is certain – his addition will add another layer of depth and experience to the Buccaneers’ roster.
