Hollidaysburg Area High School alumnus Paul Frederic Anderson, 44, passed away after a brief illness at UPMC Altoona. Born in Mansfield, Ohio as the middle son of Terry and Marci Anderson, Paul had one older brother, David, and a younger brother, Michael.

After graduating from Hollidaysburg Area High School in 1998 with a degree in economics from Duke University in 2002, Paul spent time living in Austin, Texas and Pittsburgh before settling in parts of Maryland.

Paul was an avid sports fan who grew up playing basketball with his brothers and later starred on the Hollidaysburg high school team. He loved his Duke Blue Devils, Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State Nittany Lions.

Paul is survived by his parents and brothers and their respective families. David and Emily Anderson are parents to Sydney, 18, and Jack, 14 while Michael and Jana Anderson are parents to Misha, 14, Luke
