Severe thunderstorms are currently moving through the Omaha metro area, and have impacted the College World Series. Due to the inclement weather, a weather delay was announced for the game around 5:30 p.m. As of 7:20 p.m., it remains uncertain when play will resume. Additionally, a Tornado Watch is in effect for the Omaha metro, eastern Nebraska, and far western Iowa until 10 p.m.

In response to the severe weather, CHI Health Center has opened its doors to provide a safe space for those near the stadium or Omaha Baseball Village to wait out the storms. The center has urged fans to seek shelter until the storms pass and advised them to stay tuned to local news for updates on the weather situation and more information on when it will be safe for fans to return to the game.

As of now, it’s not clear when play will resume at College World Series due to severe thunderstorms that hit Omaha metro area. The Tornado Watch is still in effect for Omaha metro, eastern Nebraska and far western Iowa until 10 pm which means people need to take necessary precautions as soon as possible.
