2025 tight end/defensive end Zayne DeSouza received an offer from Colorado football after an outstanding performance at the Buffs’ summer elite camp. The 6-foot-6, 255-pound Loveland High School player is considered one of the top in-state athletes in his class and is predicted to play on the offensive side in college. In his junior year playing for the Class 4A Red Wolves, he earned 330 receiving yards and scored one touchdown in just 11 games. DeSouza has also received offers from Northern Colorado and Washington State.

In addition to DeSouza, other standout players from the Colorado elite camp include rising sophomore Jeremiah Hoffman, who is a wide receiver for the Class of 2025, and Landon Wolny, a wide receiver/tight end from Naples, Florida. Wolny also earned an offer from Colorado at the camp. Offered by the Buffs as well was Jack Offerdahl, a defensive back for Class of 2026 and younger brother of current Buffs running back Charlie Offerdahl.

As a three-star athlete ranked eighth in Colorado’s recruiting class of 2025, DeSouza is expected to have a big impact on the Buffs’ football program. With multiple scholarship offers already under his belt, he will have plenty of options when it comes time to make a decision about where he will continue his athletic career.
