According to the WLSL, drowning is the leading cause of death for kids aged 1-4 in the US and the second for ages 5-14. Studies from the American Academy of Pediatrics reveal that children who participate in formal swimming lessons between ages 1-4 have an 88% reduced risk of drowning.
Registration for this event at Rock River Rapids starts at 9:30 am on June 20th with the lesson beginning at 10 am. The event is free and open to everyone; children aged three and below must have an adult accompany them in the water, with one adult per child.
