A new provider, Amy Clevenger, NP, has recently joined Davis Health System’s Webster Memorial Hospital’s Cowen Clinic to offer new services to the area. With her expertise in pulmonary medicine, Clevenger will be bringing specialized care to local residents with sleep problems, asthma, COPD, and other respiratory conditions. This addition means that individuals in West Virginia can now have more convenient access to medical care for their lung and breathing issues.

Clevenger is a pulmonary disease specialist with experience treating a wide range of lung and breathing conditions. Her previous role at the Pulmonology and Better Sleep Center in Elkins was especially beneficial as she worked alongside Dr. Emad Kowatli to provide high-quality care and support for respiratory and sleep-related conditions. In West Virginia, where high rates of tobacco use among adults and adolescents as well as issues with air quality pose significant health challenges, her expertise is particularly valuable.

Bill Dempsey, CEO of Webster Memorial Hospital, expressed his excitement about welcoming Amy Clevenger to the Cowen Clinic team. He emphasized that her experience will enable the clinic to provide top-notch care and support for respiratory and sleep-related conditions. This expansion aims to address the growing healthcare needs of the community by ensuring that residents have access to essential medical services close to home.

Clevenger stated that she was honored to be a part of the Cowen Clinic team and was eager to contribute to improving the health and well-being of individuals in Webster County. Patients interested in accessing these new specialized services at the Cowen Clinic can schedule an appointment by calling 304-637-3650.
