Drones, also known as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or UAS, have become increasingly popular in recent years for various purposes such as filming, commercials, competitions, and games. However, their use in warfare has become particularly significant, especially in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Drones are utilized to locate enemy targets, direct artillery fire, and deliver explosive charges.

Despite their growing popularity, outdated technology continues to prove effective in shooting down drones. In a video shared by user TheRealBuni on X (formerly Twitter), a drone is shown being shot down by another drone using a spear. The origin of the spear dates back to prehistoric times, 300 thousand years ago, as reported by the newspaper La Vanguardia. This ancient technology continues to be utilized against modern vehicles, highlighting the juxtaposition of advancements in warfare technology with historical weaponry.

In response to this threat, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has approved the establishment of a specialized branch of the Armed Forces dedicated to drone operations. Despite this development, outdated technology such as lances continue to prove effective in disrupting the balance of unmanned aerial vehicles with a single blow. These lances are simple to install on vehicles and can be an effective defense against drone attacks.

The use of drones in warfare has become increasingly common in recent years due to their versatility and ability to provide real-time information about enemy positions. However, their effectiveness also makes them vulnerable to attack from other unmanned vehicles or even spears that have been around for centuries.
