On March 25, Malverne High School welcomed students and their families for an evening of engaging science, math, and engineering activities aimed at sparking an interest in STEM learning. STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and math and helps students develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills as well as creative design abilities.

The event catered to students from kindergarten to high school, offering a variety of activities such as chemistry experiments, biology explorations, math games, and science-themed crafts. Attendees had the chance to participate in robotics demonstrations, glide across the gym on a student-made hovercraft, and indulge in ice cream made on-site using liquid nitrogen.

High school students volunteered their time to assist with the activities, sharing their knowledge and experience with the younger participants. This collaborative approach encouraged mentorship and peer learning among students of all ages. By providing hands-on learning opportunities, the event aimed to inspire a passion for STEM education and careers in the next generation of students.
