The USC Aiken golf team is preparing for the upcoming NCAA South/Southeast Regional tournament, which will take place in Gainsville, Ga from May 9-11. Hosted by North Georgia, the event will see fifteen of the top 25 teams battle it out for five spots at the national championship. Among these teams are six of the top ten in the rankings, making for a highly competitive field.

The team, coached by Michael Carlisle, will be represented by Oscar Abrahamsson, Justice Hartman, Rory McDonald O’Brien, Erik Olin, and Gage Weeks. Abrahamsson has a stroke average of 72.06 and was co-champion of the Wexford Intercollegiate. Olin leads the team with a 71.81 stroke average and has achieved top-five finishes in multiple tournaments throughout the season. McDonald O’Brien has a stroke average of 72.18 and won the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate, securing another top-five finish. Hartman has a stroke average of 74.67 and has shown steady performance in four events this season. Weeks is making his first appearance of the year and has a career average of 75.2 strokes. His best career finish was placing 15th in a tournament where he helped USCA win with a strong 4-under 212 performance.

The No. 7 USCA golf team is ready to take on some of the best teams in the country at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional tournament in Gainesville, Ga from May 9-11.
