In a remarkable achievement, one of Chicago’s top restaurants has been recognized among the world’s best. On Wednesday, Smyth was honored with a prestigious accolade, being included in the 51-100 list of this year’s “World’s 50 Best Restaurants.”
Located in Fulton Market, Smyth is one of only two restaurants in the city to hold three Michelin stars. The restaurant opened in 2016 and quickly gained recognition for its exceptional culinary creations. Now, it has been ranked at No. 90 on the first part of the list, with the remaining top 50 set to be announced at a later date.
Joining Smyth on the list were two other American establishments: Cosme from New York City was ranked at No. 99, offering Mexican-inspired cuisine and Le Benardin from Las Vegas was ranked at No. 71, a French global fusion eatery.
Smyth focuses on serving courses that are harmonious with the finest natural products available, sourced from small farmers and select meat purveyors. Diners can experience this acclaimed cuisine at its location at 124 North Ada Street in Chicago.
